MFX-sponsored Isle of Man walking football star, Steve “Falcy” Falconer, has briefly switched allegiance (again!) to help Welsh side, Connah’s Quay win the Welsh Cup.
Falcy, a Manxman, but who is now a well-established England international, was asked to represent the Welsh side in their prestigious cup competition, through his many connections in the game. It proved a wise choice by Connah’s, who beat teams from across the Principality to secure the trophy.
They’ll now go onto the Champion or Champions competition, which will be held at the England walking football headquarters in Redditch, Worcestershire later this year – with Falcy more than likely to be playing a key part.
